Isaiah proclaims himself as an obedient servant of the Lord in Isaiah 50 (4-9), trusting in God’s protection though he may be a disgrace in the eyes of his people and persecuted by them. David in Psalm 31 (9-16) prays to God for help in a time of distress and uncertainty, but is comforted knowing His love for him is secure just as we can know that comfort. The triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem is told in John 12 (12-19) with people proclaiming Him a King riding in humility on a donkey fulfilling Scripture from of old.
