Birth of Jesus Christ

Old Testament Scripture in Micah Chapter 5 (verses 2-5) predicts the birth of Israel’s everlasting ruler, Jesus Christ, in lowly Bethlehem. Psalm 80 (verses 1-7) tells of Israel’s plea asking God and His Heavenly Hosts to protect them from their enemies and to let His love and grace surround them and in Hebrews Chapter 10 (verses 5-10) we read of God’s New Covenant through Christ’s death, eliminating Old Testament sacrifices. Luke Chapter 1 (verses 39-45) records the wondrous and beautiful words of Mary’s Magnificat announcing the coming birth of Jesus. May God bless you and your family this Christmas season!
