n the 2nd Chapter of Joel (verses 12-19) the Prophet urges people to turn from their evil ways and turn to God for mercy. David’s Psalm 51 praises God for His mercy in dealing with the sin of David’s evil past. The Apostle Paul in 2nd Corinthians (verses 5&6) speaks of the hardships in being an ambassador for Christ in bringing the Gospel to the Gentile nations. Jesus’ words in Matthew 6 (verses 16-21) remind us to store up treasures in heaven not here on earth.
