I would like to introduce myself, I am Sabrina Gunderson, Director of Shepherd’s Little Flock Preschool. I have been with the ministry since 2005.
I would like to thank all of you for the wonderful support and prayers that you have given this ministry. We have been truly blessed through the years. We hope to have continue blessing with what ever the future of the ministry becomes.
Some of you may know the ECM board members, currently we have Diane Mundt, Carroll Jannaush, Cindi Deere, Tim Beneecke, John Beck, Joani Trout and Pastor Beabout and myself. We are always looking for more talented board member if you would like to be part to the ECM board.
Past members include but not limited to: Victoria Williamson, Gail Moerdyk, Deb Kittell, Sue Neff, who was a big part of the golf fundraiser with Keith and Janeth Moerdyk, Don Guckenburger and many others.
One very special ECM member was Bonnie Baily, she was a great mentor and really helped me with personal growth and seeing the vision for SLF.
Shepherd’s Little Flock is known through the community and surrounding countries. We have families from Pikeville, Sparta and Monterey areas. We started out as a mother’s day out program, then when I was hired we had 2 classroom 9 students, 4 staff and was year round.
We currently have 5 classrooms with 61 children. Have a waiting list for the infants. SLF employees 5 lead teachers, 11 teachers assistants, one full time kitchen administrator, one part time assistant director and myself as the director. We have 2 outstanding subs and countless volunteers.
Special thanks to the property men and women. This week they reinforced the floor in shed and they put together our new bikes that were bought with the hot dog fundraising money.
Good news for the childcare ministry is that we are at compactivity, we have started a feasibility study for a possible school age summer program and after school program. We have community outreach programs that have contacted Shepherd of the Hills on how they might help with ideas and fundingl When the study is finished we will make sure that our findings are shared with all of you. We have contacted some of the state agencies that would likely be involved with some expanding projects to get their input on what would come next.
With the Love of Jesus,
Shepherd’s Little Flock Staff
