Our gracious God invites the Israelites to come to Him (Isaiah 56: 6-8) and also Gentiles who seek to know Him more fully. Psalm 67 sings praises to God the Father for His goodness and mercy, bringing joy to the hearts of man. Although both Jews and Gentiles have turned away from God (Romans 11: 28-32), they shall receive God’s bountiful mercy through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. The Canaanite woman begs Jesus to remove a demon from her daughter. He heals her and praises the woman for her persistence and faith (Matthew 15 21-28). We, likewise, should pray with boldness and confidence.
