In Deuteronomy 4 (1-9), God’s Holy Word and Commandments are given to His people, and to us, and to our children as a covenant never to be broken. Psalm 119 (129-136) expresses love for God’s Word and asks for a trusting heart but laments over those who reject God’s laws. In Ephesians 6 (10-20) Paul declares that we should put on the whole armour of God to protect ourselves from evil. Jesus, in Mark 7 (14-23), explained that what goes into our bodies does not harm but what comes out defiles us.
