Good Fruit Neglected

A parable in Isaiah 5 (verses 1-7) tells of a vineyard being prepared for good fruit but was neglected and trampled bearing sour grapes. comparing Israel’s waywardness and God’s desire for goodness. Psalm 80 (verses 7-19) continues to tell of this same vineyard destroyed by us, but by asking God for mercy was given Jesus to save mankind. To strive to be Christ like is presented in Philippians 3 (verses 4-14) by keeping the faith and putting away evil. Another parable of the vineyard is told by Jesus in Matthew 21 (verses 33-46) warning that His rejection by us will only lead to our damnation.
