1517-2017
Throughout 2017, Christians around the world will be celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. This began October 31st of 1517 by Martin Luther when he nailed his earth‐shattering 95 Thesis to a church door in Wittenberg, Germany. One of the most significant outcomes of the Reformation was the translation of the Sacred Scriptures into languages that could be read and understood by the common man. To celebrate the greatness of this revolutionary turn of events in Christian history, some of the pastors of Crossville are collaborating for public readings of the Four Holy Gospels. Each one of the Gospels will be read aloud in its entirety at four hosting churches, which will all be on Saturday evenings and beginning at 6PM.
The Gospels will be read from the English Standard Version, and at each of the four events, the Gideons will be present and ready to distribute FREE BIBLES in this translation for any who come.
Those who are able to attend all four events will receive discounts from local participating businesses in and around Crossville.
Each hosting church will take up an offering to go toward Crossville Christian School.
