Isaiah speaks of the Messiah

In Isaiah 50:4-9, the prophet speaks of the Messiah, the suffering servant who will be exalted.  David cries out in despair (Psalm 31:9-16), as he feels rejected by his people while he trusts in God for deliverance.  In Philippians 2:5-11, Paul describes the self-emptying of Jesus: fully God and fully man.  The theme of contrasts continues in John 12:12-19, as Jesus makes His triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a humble donkey rather than a warrior horse reserved for kings.

Join us for worship on this Palm Sunday weekend:  Saturday 4 p.m., Sunday 8 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.  Bible study: 9:15 a.m.

Final Lenten service on Wednesday (March 29), at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
