The prophet Isaiah (61:1-11) declares to the people His role of bringing good news of the Messiah’s coming to robe them in righteousness. Psalm 126 describes the joy the Israelites will have returning to Jerusalem from captivity in Babylon. Paul the Apostle in 1Thessalonians (5:16-24) speaks of praying without ceasing being joyous and thankful.
