Lord commissions the prophet Ezekiel

The Lord commissions the prophet Ezekiel in chapter 2 vs 1-5 to warn and admonish the Israelites for their continued rebelliousness in the sight of God. Psalm 123 calls upon the Lord to grant mercy to His people. The apostle Paul in Cor 2 vs 1-10 asks God to remove a Thorn of illness which has beset him throughout his mission journeys. This weakness, declares the Lord, only strengthens his faith and dedication to continue to spread the Gospel!  Jesus is rejected by his own hometown people of Nazareth when preaching in their synagogue but nevertheless heals their sick, revealing His love and mercy for them and all mankind (Mark 6 vs 1-5).
