Mountain of the Lord

Isaiah 2:1-5 refers to the exalted mountain of the Lord (Zion), as a metaphor to describe the future of Jerusalem. Psalm 122 is a reminder of the role of this holy city and the attending joy of worship there. In Romans 13:8-10, Paul explains that to love one another is to embody all ten of the commandments given to Moses. Matthew 21: 8-10, recounts Jesus’ triumphal entry into the city of Jerusalem as he rode, not on a thoroughbred, but on a donkey.
