On Sunday March 7th Pastor Roger Paavola installed Pastor John Beabout as the Assistant Pastor of the Shepherd of the Hills. We celebrated with a luncheon provided by the Growth Committee.
A THANK YOU FROM PASTOR JOHN
Dear members of Shepherd of the Hills,
You all made Sunday, March 7th such a special day for me, Stella, and our family and friends. There are so many people to thank who worked not only that day, but also weeks beforehand, to make my Installation service, luncheon, and the entire day so absolutely wonderful, beautiful, and meaningful. First and foremost, my thanks is lifted to the Lord, who opened this door, called me, and brought us here to you last May. Second, I would like to thank my dear wife Stella, who has supported me every step of the way on this journey! She is a true gift and blessing from God!
I would also like to thank Pastor Andrew and the special bond and friendship we have forged in this team ministry serving our Lord and you. And to our church Secretary Chris, who supports your two Pastors in so many ways throughout our everchanging workdays and work weeks. And to Rick Weyhrich and Erin and Will Siler for their special music that day. To Kristin and the Tech team, and to Salli and the Growth team, and to Charlene and the Fellowship and Kitchen team, and to Steve and all of our church Elders – I sincerely say thank you. You are all so talented, dedicated, and hardworking. You did an amazing job!
Through the church’s live streaming, you also made it a special day for all our family and friends who couldn’t be here with us and they also extend their thanks to all of you as well. What a blessing you are to our SOTH ministry. You are awesome! And I also want to thank our District President, the Rev. Dr. Roger Paavola and his wife, Pat who made the long trip from Memphis to preach our sermon and Install me as your Assistant Pastor.
In closing, I would also like to extent both my and Stella’s special thanks to Phil and Linda Winterroth who have been our dear friends since our first meeting in the sanctuary of SOTH during a worship service almost five years ago.
It was Linda’s encouragement to Pastor Andrew to give me a call that started the chain reaction of events that brought us here to you. Yes, it is absolutely amazing the way the Lord works in our lives, His gracious will and wonders to perform!
