The power of the Lord is read in Isaiah 40 (21-31) with His desire to save Israel and us from sin and believe in His promises. This desire is further stated in Psalm 147 (1-11) as God’s plan to redeem us is accomplished through the death and resurrection of His son, Jesus. The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 9 (16-27) fashions His preaching to reach both Jew and Gentile proclaiming the Gospel. In Mark 1 (29-39) we are encouraged to stay focused on Jesus and His teaching to love and serve one another.
