Prophecy and fulfillment abound! In Isaiah 7:10-17, the Lord tells the prophet, “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call him Immanuel”. In Psalm 24, David speaks jubilantly of the King of glory. Paul refers to himself as a servant of Jesus, (Romans 1:1-7), as promised by the Old Testament prophets, and in the Gospel of Matthew (1:18-25), Joseph receives a message from an angel of the Lord, that his betrothed will bear a Son to be named Jesus.
