The Lord speaks to the Israelites (Deuteronomy 8: 1-10) as they enter the Promised Land, reminding them of their journey through the wilderness, testing their faith but keeping His promise to deliver them. Psalm 67 praises God for His goodness and mercy shown to all nations judging them with fairness and equity. We as Christians are to pray for those in authority as expressed in 1 Timothy (1-4), giving thanks for lives of peace and contentment. Jesus encounters the ten lepers as read in Luke 17 (verses 11-19) healing them but only one, a Samaritan, returns to give Him thanks.
